The Do-Over

Mulligan Man

This week's Sunday Setup got away from me.

Although I had a good story — a mushroom, a professor with a ruler, and hundreds of tiny people marching under a tablecloth — life started life-ing, and I didn't have time to write it right. I could send it to you undercooked, but with this particular mushroom, undercooked is how people end up in the hospital.

So I'm taking a mulligan.

Conveniently, I know where to take it.

On Saturday, October 17 — National Mulligan Day — I'll be telling a story at Speak Up: Do-Overs in Hartford, CT.

If you'll be in the area, come check me out at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. It's gonna be a night of true stories about second chances, fresh starts, and the times life gave someone one more shot to get it right, or to get it spectacularly wrong.

Doors open at 6, the stories start at 7, and your $20 ticket includes snacks and wine. Tickets are advance-only, and the last show came close to the fire department's capacity limit.

So don't wait!

P.S. — Sunday Setup will be back next week, fully cooked.

Question of the Week

What would you use a mulligan on this week?
